Rotarians, along with their friends, families, and employees, impact our community through an array of avenues of involvement. The Stockton Club Committee for Charity Allocations evaluates and recommends funding of numerous applications for assistance from local organizations. Health and hunger matters are addressed thru our Blood Bank donation program, our efforts to promote cancer awareness and research, and our food for the needy drives. The Stockton Club created and maintains the World War II Memorial located at Weber Point (pictured above), which honors the military service of our citizens. In addition, the Stockton Club collaborates with the other four Rotary Clubs in the community on joint projects. Rotary House provides housing on the hospital campus for family members of patients who are receiving treatment at San Joaquin General Hospital The Stockton Rotary Clubs also improve literacy through the Rotary Read-In. The All City Trivia Bee raises money for the Library Literacy Foundation. Lastly Community service responds to many needs as it is able and as they emerge. |
