Speaker...
Mike Machado - State Senator
State of The Capitol
Mike suggested that the legislative members are interested in solving problems this year- their own problems related to their reelection.
Machado’s formula for a balanced budget is, no new programs and no existing program increases except for public safety related issues.
He recognized the request made by many clergy throughout the state who are requesting a moral budget that doesn’t impact the most vulnerable citizens the hardest.
He sees funding light rail as a long term solution to high gas prices.
When it comes to solving the current budget problems. Is it fair to all concerned?
Mike Machado was introduced by Jerry Smith.
